Multivox Mx-201 Muti Echo Unit in Dover, DE

MULTIVOX MX-201 MUTI ECHO UNIT I have owned a several tape echos... This one is most like the re 312. I like the unit better...less noise and a couple better features...inst eq is a big bonus. As far as the echo sound..they are comparable...tape echo at it's best! No better delay the tape.The rev in this unit is much better than the roland..however,good but not "fender" great. I splice my own tapes and find certain tape works better than others.This is one fantastic box!It is a 10...but not pristine sounding..not supposed to be! All multivox stuff is well made...built for the road... Pretty much like the roland space echos...a little learning curve for those not familiar with tape echo.A bit of tweaking and your getting great sounds. This unit I believe is the same unit as the 312...they must have decided to change the 201 part (too close to roland?) More features than the roland 201 ...sound on sound and additional EQ for instrument or mic.4 push buttons for head selection(can combine) and 4 buttons for different types of repeats! Input settings,mic inputs ,inst inputs...foot switching for echo,rev and s on s . It's loaded with features! Certainly, this is as good if not better than any other tape echo unit. Been playin for 30 years and have used just about every old school toy out there...this thing is up there with the best.
